World renowned oil & gas equipment manufacturer experiencing explosive growth. You will be tasked with managing the purchasing of over 2000 key parts to the manufacturing process. With business growing so rapidly, an important part of this job is sourcing new vendors, qualifying them, and setting up the supply chain so there are multiple vendors who can supply the same parts, diversifying our suppliers, and mitigating the risk of running out of any particular part in this high growth environment. To qualify you will have experience purchasing machined parts, and will be able to read blueprints. You will be excellent at sourcing, building relationships with vendors, and negotiations. It would be a big plus if you were proficient with SAP, but a candidate with extensive background with another major ERP system should be able to pick up the system rapidly. To be successful, you will need to be a go-getter, take initiative, take ownership of the job and results, demonstrate good communication skills, and be able to handle pressure well.
